"Friday- August 8th"

I have been very busy lately, I have been working first shift on some days, and second shift on other days, and working in Greensboro on some days, and in Thomasville on other days. I have been running around like a chicken with it's head cut off LOL!!! I am basically on call now from 6am- 6:30pm. If the office hasn't called by 6:30pm, then I am off the rest of the night. I am still with the same company, I'm still a caregiver, but- I decided about 2 weeks ago, that I could no longer stay with the client I had been with for about the past 9 months, so my office has been shifting me around, which is fine with me, I like working with different people, and meeting new ones, also. It's a lot more interesting staying with different people and spending time with them, and getting to know them- it's refreshing and pleasant.

Meeting new people adds to the flavor of life.....or makes life flavorful....or tastes good...or makes a nice cake nicer or spruces up the Spam....goes better with ham...tops the topping from the can.....

Yay Tammie.... I love when things get changed up. It keeps us young and it feels like an adventure.

You do sound super busy, take some time for you so you don't burn out. Being in a people/service job can be draining!

You are right, I took 2 days off, after the incident with my client I had been with for so long. I had to have some time, just for some quiet, peace, and calmness. I just sit outside on the patio some and watched the birds and squirrels, and read some. I had the chance to talk to a woman who has worked where I do for 5 years, and she gave me some good advice. She told me, that if I didn't want to burn out, not to work 7 days a week, and not to stay with 1 client all the time. She said, it was better to stay with different people, maybe 2 different ones a week, or rotate around, this way- it helps you not to burn out.

Me too!!!! It is much more like an adventure, and I'm loving it!!!!

Sounds like some good advice. Always good to have a "mentor" who can help you figure things out. Especially someone who's most likely been there tried that and can give you this works better advice :)
