QotD: My Biggest Fear

What is your deepest, darkest fear?

My biggest fear in the world or in my life is: that something bad might happen to my daughter, Jenni. If anything bad happened to her, I don't think I could handle it. I love her so much, we are so close, and she is my only child. I think about her safety day and night, I know she is grown, and can take care of herself,
but, I worry over things that I think a lot of mothers do, what if she is in a car accident, what if some nut attacks her, what if she is in a plane crash, etc. I would totally lose my mind if she got injured or worse. That is my biggest and deepest fear.

You have the same worry my Mom had. I'm an only child, too. I'd been thinking that she's a very over-protective mother. My friends were allowed to come home late, but I always gotta be home before 10pm even it's on the weekends...

I share your fear too Tammie;( How can we make this go away? Sometimes i get so anxious for all the thoughts and my heart races.....Hmm, not good! I guess it's just to feel this way being a MOM? I lie in bed and think a lot - similar to what you've outlined. I can't imagine what i will do once my boys are in school etc etc.......

I think moms just feel this way, when they love their children, no matter how old they get.
