QotD: Won't You Be My Neighbor?
What are your neighbors like? (The ones you live near or next to, not the ones in your Vox neighborhood!)
We live in a Town Home Community, they are designed for older people and the handicapped.
Our neighbors are the sweetest, nicest people. I have Ms. Tuttle next door, she is so nice and friendly, she has her beloved dog, who keeps her company. She always takes time to stop and talk and we get along so well. Then, there is Ms. Owens, she is a delight, she is the choir director at her church, and cooks food for everyone who is sick, or celebrating, and she is so nice and kind, such a friendly woman. Her son is serving his second or third tour of duty in Iraq. Then, there's Dave across the way, he is very friendly, kind, always stopping to say hello, and talk for a while, very nice man. Then to the right of me in the next set of Town Homes, there is Sarah and her family, she is about 12, I see her and her mom every day as I'm leaving to go to work, and Sarah always is smiling and says hi, and so does her mom. They are so nice. Sarah gets out and roller blades up and down the side walks and plays with the other kids nearby.
Most everyone here is very nice and gets out and walks around every day, many together, and stopping and saying hello to everyone that's out, they walk early and again in the afternoon, we have a very nice group of neighbors. Most of our neighbors are older than us, but there are a few families that are younger, with children.
